Anyone dying to see some updates?

I submitted my online app on Dec. 22nd but there hasn't been ANY updates regarding the app status.

All it says is: "We have received and are currently reviewing your application. We recommend you check here occasionally for an update on the status of your application."

urghhh.. come on!!

i’m reallyy sorry to be like random, but how do you post a question?

just by the way, I applied to usc too…like early december but haven’t heard yet either. no worries.

You likely won’t hear anything unless something went wrong until you get a letter in the mail.

dain56 - there’s a button that says ‘new thread’. it’s easy to find :)

hawkwings - that’s good to hear :)

so mine currently says “Your application is being reviewed by the admission committee. We will mail notification of their decision by April 1. If for some reason you don’t receive our written notice, we will be happy to provide the results over the phone beginning April 11th.”

however, someone else i know who also applied has the same status as you. is there a difference? they sound like the same idea to me, but i can’t help but wonder why they’re different.

jrtingson, when did you apply? I have the same message as you, and I applied at the end of November. So maybe ours is the one for people who sent it in earlier, and laure has the one for people who sent it in more recently?

i applied on november 30th, right before the scholarship application deadline. that may be why, but my friend who submitted his just hours after i did has the same status as laure. so i’m not entirely sure that that’s the reason. this is just making me more anxious, these statuses are like reading tea leaves!

I applied early and have the same message as jrtingson, but it’s interesting that there’s different messages that pretty much mean the same thing…?

I’m pretty sure "We have received and are currently reviewing " is the first status, and then it changes to “Your application is being reviewed” later on. So people who submitted their apps earlier, most likely by the priority deadline, should have had the second message shown on their status page, whereas people who submitted theirs more recently should be seeing the first message for now.
