Anyone EA people still waiting to here?

well it is 10:00 and still no word and i did ea

I hope you have good news soon. Best of luck.

My son hasn’t heard either and he also applied EA.

If you haven’t heard by now, you should call. There is probably something missing from the application package.

Son hasn’t heard (after applying EA) yet. Could it be due to the fact that he applied to the school of music and they are waiting for audition results?

Calling tomorrow because the website that they’d hear BY Jan. 31st.

I would check to make sure. I bet the admissions office is busy this week though.

So, still nothing this morning. Called the school and admissions person said that she was not sure why son had not received email/letter yet and that she would call me back. Called back 4 hours later and she said that son had not received letter because they accidentally overlooked sending his letter. WHAT? Now he has to wait 5 to 7 days to hear anything. Anyway, I’m guessing he probably was not accepted since it was ‘overlooked’. I’m disappointed. Haven’t told son yet. I’ll let him read the email/letter.

Momteachernurse,

I got the same reply from one of the admissions people that answered the phone. She said she would look into it and then sent me the email saying 5-7 days. In parallel, i spoke to the asistant director of admissions who personally remedied the problem and i had my answer that same day. She was extremely helpful and very pleasant. Her name is Colleen. She was very approachable. Hope that helps

Miataman - thanks for that info. I will try tomorrow to get an answer. When you called, did you ask for her by name or for the assistant director?

My son got a letter a couple of hours ago from the school of music saying that he was accepted into their BM professional program. So my question was, “Could you be accepted into the music school and not the general school?” Son said that someone asked that on a tour he took of the music school and the answer was, “No, you have to be admitted to the general school before the music school would consider you.” Son is not always the best listener, so I’m taking that with a grain of salt.

We’ll wait for word from admissions before we celebrate or sulk. :-)

When I called at 9:00am initially i got Colleen. She was helping outall the other admission people as it was the day after decisions came out. I explained the situation and she had no answer as to why we hadn’t heard. She said she would look into it. I asked if there was anyone else i could talk to and she said she was the top person. Turns out she was as she resolved it in 6 hours.

Your situation may be different as your son is pursuing a musical education and i am unsure about the timeframes associated to that. Call them tomorrow and def ask for Colleen. She was wonderful.

Son got acceptance email today.
