Anyone ELC get rejected?

I know in the past ELC has pretty much guaranteed acceptance to non impacted majors. Is this the case again this year or did admissions get tougher as many imagined they would?

They guarantee acceptance, but if your grades fall below a B average they can drop admission after your senior year (as they could for anyone).

Do they guarantee acceptance to any UC we like or just some of the UC's?

I dont think its gaurenteed to any UC

ya it is...

I found this on the website

<a href="http://www.ucop.edu/sas/elc/requirementsinfo.html#faq%5B/url%5D">http://www.ucop.edu/sas/elc/requirementsinfo.html#faq</a></p>

California high school students who attain eligibility in the statewide context or eligibility in the local context are both guaranteed a space at the University of California, though not necessarily the campus or major of choice.

"not necessarily the campus or major of choice."

its to the particular UC campuses that are guaranteed to the ELC students of ur school. my school gets UCI and UCSB guaranteed spot, and i bet other schools get other UC campuses

Top 4% of ELC gets UCI/UCSB/UCM

Top 12.5% is guaranteed at least 1 UC

I was top 4%....but does that mean I want to go to any of those schools...hell no.

I called each of the UCs individually around October of last year and got filled in but not all of them guarantee it. I know Berkeley, UCLA, and UCSD don't for sure, but as far as the others, many of them guarantee it and others say it's just a bonus in the admissions process if it's not guaranteed. If you're ELC you have a really good shot of getting into any of the UCs even if it's not guaranteed.
