I’m not too particularly happy with my Critical Reading score, as I was in the 690-710 range on a practice test I took after prepping with the blue book. I swear, it was that one passage about the Asian family (no racial implications intentional), that one totally wrecked me.

I hate how in math a few questions you don’t know can drop your score SO much! I felt so good about it too. .-.

But WOOOOOO, WRITING!!! Wasn’t expecting that, but yay! My ACT essay from sophomore year was a 10, so I’m glad I was able to give it a little bump. I’m pretty sure this, and the 2110 above me, are roughly equivalent to 32’s on the ACT, which is what I’m aiming for. Yay!

Proly won’t be retaking this, as I want to have everything out of the way by the end of this year so that I can be all set for a summer scholarship program and senior year of college planning.

2380! I overstudied writing, I guess (600s in Jan)
M 780
Cr 800
W 800 (12 essay 80 MC)

I recommend retakers use 12 essay in 10 days and practice practice practice. I used mainly Princeton review and kaplan with snippets from the blue book 2nd edition during the last week!

Holy crap, 230 point improvement since Jan 28 2012 test (2150) It’s really possible to improve with ~3 weeks of self study!

to be fair, technically oxford’s requirement was at least 1400 for reading+writing and a 700 in writing. I got a 660 in writing. but still…
I just don’t want to retake it :/

I really don’t get how some of you guys with 2300+ are disappointed with your scores though. there’s a lot more on the college app. I don’t think there’s really any difference between a 2300 and 2400 in terms of admissions. at that point it comes down to everything else

@stressed
Yes, but some places (like my state) have competitions for the best SAT score in the school/county/region/state. So there IS quite a difference. And most people retake it for pride, etc.
