I was just wondering if any on else is applying for the NSA Stokes Scholarship? Any idea on when they will get back to us?

I called them about a month ago and asked when I should hear back. They said they would send out semifinalist notices in mid-March (any day now). They also told me there were 700 applicants and only 18 positions.

gah, any news on the stokes...mid march came and went...and in the flurry of college fun, i'm still waiting on some sort of notification...

I got an large envelope today, though I missed the post man, the delivery notice says its from the NSA. Any one else get that?

ah. no i haven't gotten that...hopefully tom or within the next few days? what is your specialty? math/science/for language? also, where are you from stats/college?

i'm from az, and i'm applying for the for lang. area. my stats should be on old posts

I'm applying with an intened major of computer engineering. My stats were kinda crappy, 28 act 3.8 gpa. I'm picking up the envelope tommorrow from the post office, I'll post any news.

has your status changed on the nsa's website? mine still says active.

I received a letter the other day, unfortunately I was not picked up for the program. Fortunately, I have received and accepted an appointment to the USCGA. Well I wish everyone good luck.

I received a package from the NSA that was postmarked April 1st. It was sent overnight and I was accepted as a CompSci major (and possibly CompEng) semifinalist.

It is a decently sized package.

There is a plethora of foms and releases to sign along with a fingerprint chart.

Yeah, I was selected as a semifinalist for computer engineering. I wonder when we find out if we actually get into the program?

congrats you guys. i wonder if they sent all of the acceptances overnight, and the rejections reg mail.

in any case, i haven't heard anything back yet, so i hope it's not a rejection

Any idea how many semifinalists they pick?

When you say it got overnighted, do you mean UPS or USPS or DHL or what?

It came USPS express mail, sent out March 30th, came on March 31st.

How about everybody who is accepted,(and possibly those who are rejected) give a basic idea of their credentials (ie grades and test scores)

Its always nice to know

Packets were sent USPS express (overnight) mail spread out over a few days. When I called on the 31st, they told me they were in the process. My packet was sent on 4/1. It seems as miezo's was sent on 3/30.
