My advice for curing writer's block: GO OUTSIDE and walk around for an hour or two (unless you live in an incredibly dangerous neighborhood). The fresh oxygen really helps even though you might not think so at first.

I live in a safe neighborhood... In NY. A.K.A. it's about -43486 degrees outside right now.

Maybe I'll stick my head out of a window....

Thanks for the advice polkadots!

same here. 4 of my schools are due on the 1st... only 2 due on the 15th and the 1st of February

lol... Clearly, I live on sunny California, oblivious to the world around me. :p

I get brilliant essay ideas right before I drift off to sleep. I literally write essays in my head at night, and of course I can only remember floaty wisps the next morning :(

It's about 30 out here, and I went for a bike ride as soon as it was light out. My hands are freezing, but I feel amazing. Cold can be invigorating sometimes. I've found that being in motion helps with writer's block. Also, biking doesn't require much concentration, so I could let my mind wander about essays and such. If it's too cold where you are, you could always try going for a drive. It's not quite as good as biking, because it doesn't do the whole increased bloodflow to the brain thing, but it's better than nothing.
