Suddenly, I became really careful of what I wear and how I want to present myself to my peers and professors; but at the same time, I wear what makes me feel good and comfortable when I leave my room. I'm a guy and I get strange looks from people at my school when I show up to class sporting an outfit compared to the sweatpants and school sweatshirts. It's like a "fish-out-of-water" concept. Anyone else got really into fashion after leaving high school? I've just been missing out so much and recently discovered the amazing and limitless possibilities with bright, bold colors haha.

On an average day, I take about an hour at the least to plan my outfits. If I don't feel like doing it in the morning, I do it the night before after I study and finish all of my priorities. On a typical day, I wear something like the following: Levi jean (khaki, salmon, lapis lazuli blue, olive, orange, and lots of bright and bold colors) and a simple shirt and color that usually depends on the color of the pants. To top it off, I love throwing over a navy blue or khaki trench coat that's above knee length and throw on beanie + scarf if it's too cold. I've also been really into shoes, especially Doc Marten classic shoes.

Jesus. Anyone else out there who is obsessed with making outfits?!?! lol

I think a big determining factor is your college and its location. I’m going to be in Charleston, South Carolina, and I know it’s on the nicer side of fashion (at least in college terms)… so I’ve been trying to add some nicer pieces to my wardrobe… interview business outfit, fitted skirts, dress shirts… (: But, I like dressing like this after being in school uniforms for twelve years (private school)… so I’m thrilled to experiment. :D

I wear a clean shirt, pants and boots. If I’m feeling good, I might even iron the shirt (it’s cold so under the coat, no one knows).

I’m starting to get into brighter colors and different patterns but I mostly grew out of expensive sneakers at 15.

And what in God’s name are you doing where it takes an hour to pick out an outfit? My suitemate would take forever matching her cami to her hoodie to her jeans (for whatever reason because it had to be the perfect shades of grey and blue) and that was dumb. But an hour? Jesus Christ!

Lol, okay, I’m not as crazy as I sound in my initial post haha. I kind of exaggerated, but it can take up to an hour on my less inspired days when I’m just sitting and staring at my closet lol. I usually take 20-30 min. putting something together.

I mean, I just grab stuff out real quick in the morning but obviously all my clothes are beautiful. But I always run into a dilemma when I’m going out at night, takes me a long time to decide what to wear (by long time I mean like 5-10 minutes, nothing compared to a girl getting ready).

On CC? Ha. No they’re not. Or were you referring to your U?

I work almost every day and for work I need to look nice (formal/suit pants and a nice shirt). I hate it. On every day I have off, I’m sporting sweats.

Yes definitely! In high school, I wore jeans, sneakers, and sweatshirts. Now, never again. I make it a habit to never wear sweats/yoga pants to class. I put together outfits that I take pride in and feel confident in, and when I don’t have the wardrobe to keep up with the outfits I imagine, I use polyvore haha. Still, it doesn’t take me that long to choose what I’m going to wear, though I sometimes plan ahead like you do.
For winter or cold-ish weather, my style would be classic with neutral colors. For summer or warm weather, it’s like beach California. Wish I could branch out even more, but unfortunately my wardrobe is currently limited.

A little bit, I guess. I went to private schools for the past 5-6 years so wearing school uniforms 5 days a week and church clothes 1 day on the weekend didn’t impose much on me to buy alot of casual clothes. So I find myself wearing the same jacket and 3 shirts every week. Sometimes I wonder if my classmates notice, but eh, I’m a guy. I don’t care too much. LOL.
