<p>Oh the scandinavian taxes...my parents have been paying them for the past 18 years. They really do like to fleece us people...even a really good salary of over a million NOK gets massacred by the progressive tax system</p>
<p>^Seriously! My parents make $120,000/year before taxes but are left with less than $60,000 after taxes. And we live in the US, so it's not like we get any of the benefits--on the contrary, everything is more expensive here because people aren't taxed so outrageously and are instead expected to pay up. It's the worst of both worlds.</p>
<p>Lol yeah. I'm so glad that my dad is working in Korea at the moment. All his $120K tax free at least to us, or maybe its just Samsung that is paying the other 120K back to norway thanks to this Norway-Korea tax deal. dunno how it is, but I'm pretty certain the fkin government is following us wherever we go...trying to grab our money.</p>
<p>But i guess this is the price we pay for having the highest living standard in the world...</p>
