Anyone else feel this way?

So here's my story.
I've always done well on standarized testing (state tests, PSAT, APs, etc.), and based on my practice tests, the SAT would be no different. Before the PSAT, I prepped for about a month, goin over vocab, practice tests, etc. and ended up with a 223 (80CR 73M 68W). I was really happy with this, and so I was confident about the SAT.
Because I was so swamped with junior year, I knew I wouldn't have any time, so I had to wait til June, but I figured I'd be ok. So when June came around i pretty much studied very itensely for the week and a half preceding (i.e. memorizing Sparknotes 1,000 word list, taking about 1 practice test every other day, tutor, and everything else), and on my practice tests, I consistently scored above 2300. Everytime. I almost always got 800 in CR and writing, usually something in the mid-700s for math. Now, when I say I took practice tests, I'm talking about the official college board blue book tests, timed, with only the breaks that we would normally get. And the night before, took the entire March test, and scored a 2390, which was pretty cool.
Needless to say, my expectations going in to the test were pretty high (2300+). But when I got my scorest back, I was really dissapointed. I ended up with a 2180(CR740 M690 W750 (MC79 Essay8)). Now, a 2180 is a great score, don't get me wrong. But, it's the just the fact that I know I could do better that upsets me. I mean, I almost always get 12s on the essay, never below 760 in CR, and math, well, I can do better than 690. So, what I'm wondering is if anyone else had a similar experience and what, if anything, can be done besides more prep. Any thoughts?

(sorry for the long post, kinda had to get this off my chest.)
