I was up until 4AM the other night reading 1984 for English class. Right now I'm preparing cases for a debate tournament on Friday. Tomorrow, I'm going to spend the entire day (my last day :() catching up on English homework.

I go back tommorow. I did my incredibly long english homework throughout the week though, i'm very pleased with myself. Even if I read "The Plague" at 3 A.M to get it done.

I do still have to finish 20 current event articles for government, but that's not due until Wednesday. So i'll do that tommorow.

My school was ever so kind enough to give us two weeks after break until finals. That means the break isn't really a relief at all...it's just the beginnign of hardcore studying for exams. Luckily I finished all my homework the other day and began studying today...which is really good, considering I'm the biggest procrastinator ever. The nice thing is that I go back next Tuesday, though.

Well our school used to have finals one week after winter break, but this year they decided to try out having finals before winter break and see which one was better. I must say that I definitely appreciated it because my winter break was WONDERFUL :). Not too much hw, I just have to do some AP Biology reading. And then I'm going to get a bit ahead on some math. Other than that, I will probably sleep before 10 or so.

2nd umbrellas...my school has midterms 2 weeks after and the teachers are basically shoving in half the year into our "so long" break (not even 2 whole weeks)

Don't believe me?

English Teacher: read last half of scarlet letter and van winkle
-great, considering it took us literally SEPTEMBER to DECEMBER to read 12 chapters of scarlet letter, and like one story on the side, read it by christmas, did questions/study guide day after

Math: Crazy Worksheet...For example, we have practice tests and she assigns not only random numbers (like 4/03 7, 18) but mixing up the practice tests, etc and having the numbers everywhere, extremely frustrating, I took 3 hours at the beginning and 3 hours last night just because flipping back and forth is so annoying

Chemistry: 300 questions due the day after we get back. would be fine but we had to write the REASON we picked the multiple choice for EACH question. finished day after christmas

Global-Do study guide on chapter 22. Then read chapters 24+25 Wouldn't be so bad if the whole midterm was on only about 9 chapters, and those 3 are about 50% longer than the others

Music-our project will be due in the next few days...has to be on the school comp tho

1984 and The Plague are awesome awesome awesome and I would love having "The Plague" as assigned reading.

Anon, it's okay. My AP lit teacher can't keep the class focused to save her life - we always drift off into these weird religious/social arguments (which while fun and if it were ap lang would be useful, keep us from doing anything)

My break: 2 current events for AP ES. Read ~50 pages in AP ES book and take notes and answer questions (I was up til 2am doing this last night). Wanna know what's awesome. Teacher decided not to even check the work...
