I was accepted today. I was surprised because it was about three weeks before the EA notification date. It's my safety but it relieves some stress. Does anyone know when honors letters come out?

** haha. wow. i cant type, i meant decision (obviously). haha.

My son also got an admissions letter yesterday (we were also surprised it came before the December notice date). He didn't get anything about honors and scholarship. I guess those letters come later.

I also applied E.A., I haven't heard back yet either. But then again, its not December 15th yet.

I'm actually only 25 miles away from George Mason, but I'm out of state. That sucks..having to pay out of state tuition when campus is just a bus and metrorail ride away...

and stiftree, you seem fine to me. you're in the middle 50% for gpa/sat according to the college counselor.

im sure you will get in stiftree!
i got into honors with a 3.5 UW (upward trend) lots of ib/ap and a 2100 sat. in-state.
but i just got into WM ED, so im going there. haha.
good luck to everyone!

I live in Chicago. I got my acceptance letter two days ago and honors college invitation today. I'm hoping for a scholarship, might get one need-based or merit-based.

All of my friends who applied with me to GMU have already gotten their acceptance letters. In fact, they all got it on the same day. I just want to know how GMU does their acceptance. Is it rolling? I don't think so because many of the people who applied on the same day as I did got their letters already. Is it in batches by academic criteria? If it is could someone tell me how often they send out letters and when I am likely to get mine? Thanks. My scores are:
3.34 UW GPA
3.38 W GPA with all classes either Honors or AP
We get no credit for honors and .5 for AP.
My SAT scores:
CR-680
M-720
W-690

No, GMU is not rolling. If you had applied EA by Nov1, you would've heard back by Dec.15th. If you applied regular, you should be hearing back in April. If you go onto their undergrad admissions site, there should be a link to check your app status, aka if they recieved everything they needed or not. You can't view your deicisons online, however.

Your scores seem fine to me. And from my standpoint, are you a VA resident? Cuz I know they recently just made AP's worth .5 extra on weighted scale.

I did apply RD from VA(Fairfax county, but we don't much from the FAIRGRADE thing. That's for next year's seniors). I also checked the online application status, and everything is filled in. The reason I posted is because every single one of my friends who applied to GMU has already gotten his/her letter. They all applied RD, around the same time I did, Dec. 1st. I am not sure why they got in already and I am just trying to see if I will get mine before Apr. 1st too. If I do, it is one less admissions letter I get to open on that fun-filled day.

i'm from NOVA, everyone I know who heard already from reg decision also got into the honors program. if you didn't apply for the honors program, or didn't qualify...that might be why you haven't heard.
