<p>Just got an acceptance today but never applied. The email said "Your admission application was forwarded to me by our sister UC campuses."</p>

<p>as I heard those in the top 10% in CA school are gauranteed acceptance to a UC campus, and often UCR picks up students that are denied by other schools. they have a really high admission rate for this reason.</p>
<p>yeah, my friend who didn't get accepted into any of the 3 UCs that she applied for got an acceptance email.</p>
<p>This happened to my friend in UCR. It was good for him because he was rejected from UCLA and UCB which were the only schools he applied to. He has no regrets, but just glad UCR accepted him.</p>
