Anyone else get the fasfa email about IRS retrieval tool?

I've never used it before does anyone know if it may change my efc??

If you didint lie on your FAFSA then it should be a problem.

I got it too. If nothing is different, I’m sure there will be no change. I didn’t use the retrieval took initially cuz I had JUST filed my taxes the same day I did the fafsa, so it wouldn’t work. I’m sure it’s no big deal.

I just did mine. My EFC is the same. I’m sure it’s nothing to worry about.

i did a typo… i meant it should not matter

Yeah, I got one. Just to play it safe, where do I go for it? I went to fafsa.ed.gov, logged in, and basically saw nothing that showed me where that tool was. Thanks.

@Tik1127‌ Go to where it says edit your fafsa. Then click on the tab at the top that says “financial info” or something like that. From there you should see the option to link your tax return. Follow their instruction from there.

cool I’m going to do mine right now too just to make the process easier

It didn’t work for me, I tried to fill out the form and submit but it couldn’t find my info. Now my fasfa says I started a correction and didn’t finish it.

It would not work for me worst luck

Thanks, appreciate it. Here is YouTube link that shows you how to exactly do it.

Just wondering, is it going to be any issues or anything since it got submitted, nothing was wrong, everything was the same as it was when I submitted it in late April. Will it be a delay?
