So far, I have 5 acceptances, 1 waitlist, and 3 rejects. The problem is that the wait-list was a target school, and 4 acceptances were safeties/low matches, and the other 1 is a school I don't like too much. Anyone else?

Which colleges did you get accepted by?

“Completely screwed” means not getting any acceptances. Buck up.

“Completely screwed” means having schools reject you that should have accepted you.

You have 5 acceptances. Stop complaining. It’s not the schools’ fault if you got acceptances from places you don’t want to attend. You shouldn’t have applied to such places.

Agree with Northstar, and lets focus – one you dont want to go to – which means you are OK with 4. Buckle down and decide on which of the 4 is best.

I’m getting screwd on financial aid from top/expensive schools. Its a shame I might have attend my safety bc of the lower cost. I’m really depressed, I feel like all I’ve worked for is down the drain!

Pretty egotistical thread. Enjoy your bubble.

stop judging him! if you were only accepted to your safeties, you’d feel screwed over too…

that said… i wouldnt classify this as “completely screwed over” more like “not as fortunate as i would have hoped”

1 acceptance. 2 waitlist. 4 rejections so far.

i hear from stanford, upenn, and cornell soon. so doesn’t look like im going to have much of a choice where im going…

Yeah, I suppose the title was a bit misleading. Also, I don’t really like any of my safety schools, which is why I feel screwed. It is frustrating having to choose from schools I am not too happy with.

At least you have a few choices to choose from. Some people only have one acceptance, if any.

i agree with collegebound…

its depressing that money has to decide where you go. :/

You should be happy that you have some choices dude. I applied to 12 schools, and was accepted only to 2 schools, while getting waitlisted or rejected by many crap schools.
