Ok, i read somewhere that last year ppl were hearing back as early as March 15th. Since that date has passed, isn't anyone else getting nervous? I know that logically I probably won't hear back for a couple more weeks, but that isn't stopping me from checking my mail box religiously every day after I get home from school.

Isn't anyone else feeling the same way? And I'm sure they would have posted, but no one has heard anything back yet, right?

I'm VERY nervous. Georgetown is one of my top three schools, and while my guidance counselor and friends assure me its a solid match for my stats/essays/recommendations, I'm terrified of not getting in because all the stats I can find are for the main college and I applied to the SFS.

I'm normally pretty patient but I hate waiting and this + trying to get plans for Prom lined up (yes, at my school you have to start now) is driving me absolutely nuts. I feel like my whole life is on hold and I can't do anything till the dice land-fitting, I suppose, since my main essay had the epigraph "Alea Iacta Est". :-/

i know, this whole waiting thing is killing me.
i check the mail box the second i get home
and of course the schools that I really care about are the last one to send out decisions
aaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhh
i just want to know!!!!!!!!

Yeah, I'm pretty nervous, but I assume I'd find out on CC, first, when they do actually mail the letters. I'm sure someone will know, somehow, and post it on here.

Yea. I have this little ritual i do every day. Come home check mailbox. Not there. Check my e-mail. Not there. Check school's Application Status. Not There. Lather. Rinse and Do Again...

I called the admissions office today, and the woman quickly informed me that decisions would be mailed sometime next week, scheduled for arrival around April 1st.

I live in apartments.. and so all the mail is collected by the Security Guard sitting at the entrance. The postal mail comes in the evening but the couriers come in any time... so I freakingly rush down to the guard every three/four hours or so... and as soon as he sees me at a distance...he would put his thumbs down or up, indicating NO mail or something... And with the later, it is usually dad or mom's mail

She was invited to attend as an alumnus, the letter says that they need to represent GTown well because of the competition from other colleges. Looked like it is an information session/dinner.

Here's the thing with Georgetown: the day that they say that the letter will come is the day that the letter will come. Period. It doesn't come in e-mail, and it doesn't come early.

I heard rumors that the letters for EA might come earlier than December 15th, so the week before, I came home every day anticipating a letter. Guess what? My acceptance letter came on December 15th.

Also, they send out acceptances and deferrals (or I guess for you RD kids rejections/waitlists) in the same size business letter envelopes. And in my opinion, the regular sized envelope is just more fun. It builds up the suspense, and once you do find out your decision, all the weight in the world gets lifted off of your shoulders.

Best of luck to you all. I'm glad I'm not in your position, sweating it all out again.
