The earliest you can call to find out is April 2nd.

the wait is torture, but since i was deferred EA, i expect a rejection this time around...my CC thinks the same thing, too. Which, of course, she is not supposed to do, but its ok; she is just being honest. You know, when this is all over, we are going to look back on these days of suspense and laugh. Hopefully.

My D was also deferred EA, and the letter didn't arrive until the 18th (or 19th, she can't remember) in CA. So they may mail them the day before they are due to come out, but the USPS just takes it's time! Good luck all...

Think good and you'll get good!

Best of luck to everyone

Actually, I don't think they do mail them out only the day before. Last year, they mailed them out almost two weeks before April 1st (two Fridays before). That's why I'm hoping they might do the same this year and send them tomorrow. If they said that people should get them by April 1st, then they should definitely be in the mail before March 31st. Especially since you can call on April 2nd, they would be inundated with inquiries by nearly every applicant.

Good luck everyone. My son was deferred and did get in regular decision and it is hard to believe that he is graduating this year. It is such a wonderful institution. I hope you all get to experience it. Hoya Saxa!!

i hope that people will wait until april 3 to call because april 1 is a sunday!

Our high school is convinced no one from our school will get accepted. They claim that ever since one or two students gave a deposit and then renegged at the last minute, no one has been accepted. I have no clue if this is just an excuse or if it is true. But my son isn't hopeful.

well, georgetown emailed me last thursday to casually let me know that they lost my transcript, and if I didn't get it to them by Monday, they wouldn't review my app. Nice, huh? So I basically had a heart attack, fell over, and died, got back up, had a brain aneurysm, died again, then was resurrected once more. I rushed in my high school office frantically first thing in the morning, screaming and flailing my arms (the receptionist was not happy with me :)) and had them fax my transcipt right away. So I'm guessing I won't find out what their decision was for a while. I'm still pretty mad at Georgetown, though, for making me go through that terrible ideal. :(

I want to go to Georgetown more than anything. If I don't in, I will apply again next year. I got deferred EA, one side of me says, I won't get in, and somewhere in my gut, I always see myself at Georgetown, and no where else. But deep down, I know I won't get in RD. But I can still hope, it's just annoying that I can't get the picture of me being at Georgetown, out of me.

EDIT: There is still a 10% percent chance of getting accepted! Think postitive! "I'm going to get accepted, I am going to get accepted, this year..."

Colleges are a lot like girls that way. It's hard to get over them.

CATennis Player, I can understand your frustration. But maybe this means that at the very least you made the final reviews.

i applied to georgetown almost on a whim. i visited and thought it was pretty... lol.

but after the fact, i've gotten more and more interested in going. i hope they'll take me. this upcoming weekend will make me a nervous wreck.

Still no word in the DC metro area today, so it shouldn't show up at least until Tuesday.

MDT89, i would bet we get our letters on April 2nd, haha. Or anytime this week, I would bet they get sent out on Wednesday or Thursday.

MDT89, thanks for the headsup. If you could keep on posting an update, that would be great.

I think the school is consentrating on the Georgetown basketball team. Once the games are over than the letters will go out.

LOL, I think that's probably wrong, seeing as how if Gtown goes to the National Championship it would be the 2nd. The admissions and atheletics are two different entities.

I know a few people got their SFS acceptances in the last few days (west coast)

Hmmm...that's interesting. Nothing yet here in Massachusetts.
