I got my acceptance letter today! Coming from the ATL
When did you guys apply? I applied on the 8th and still haven’t gotten an email:(
For those of you who have heard, were you invited to apply or did you apply via the Rice website?

@Lilmanbiggie Hey! I’m from ATL too and I applied to SOAR as well. I was a little late though, I sent in my application around August 15th. I would looovveee to attend so hopefully I hear back soon. I’m glad Georgia will be represented at SOAR, though!
Quick question. Did you guys have to email an admission officer your name and birthdate for travel arrangements? I just want to confirm for my dear concerned parents
@Lilmanbiggie Yes you do! I sent them that information last week and they followed up the next day with airline tickets.
@spencebid who do we email? Should it be a reply to the acceptance letter or something completely different and I’m just being stupid?

@Lilmanbiggie @studyislife I’m from Atlanta too and got accepted. Looks like we really are representing.
My D was accepted but I’m not sure if she should go since I don’t think Rice is affordable for us.
It looks like this is decided on a filing basis. Submitted my app on aug 31, so likely won’t get in. I was invited to apply through email.
@ZBlue17 - I don’t think you should give up hope. If they knew they didn’t have any spots left, I think they would have already sent out rejections. My guess is that if you were invited to apply that you stand a very good chance of getting in.
Today is the date by which Rice said they would notify students re SOAR, right? DS still hasn’t heard anything. Has anyone received a rejection? Wondering if they are sending all the rejections out today
