Anyone else got the UCLA Regents Scholarship Award Letter today?

WTH?!?! I have a 4.0 and about 55 units completed, 16 in progress and I haven’t received anything from UCLA!!! :(

you may want to contact them…i’d say it’s reasonable to assume that the post office could have lost a few…

but i didnt receive an email either :(

i didn’t get an email…i just got a letter in the mail…you should call them…

sighh okay I will try calling on monday.

but but maybe not everyone with a 4.0 automatically gets an invite. It says on the website that “300-350 transfer students are invited to compete for the Regents scholarship each year and have, historically, maintained a cumulative 4.0 GPA at their prior colleges.” I’m pretty sure more than 350 applicants have a 4.0 so maybe I’m just one of those that didnt get invited :(

^bingo

10char

sighh…
can anyone verify this?

so who actually got regents invite from berkeley for transfers? i think there’s only one guy on this thread that said he got one. iono if he’s a ■■■■■ or not (or a freshman applicant)

im pretty sure berk is taking their time with the regents. i know only one person besides the other guy on this thread that has received it.

Pretty lame that Berkeley only offers Regents to community college transfers. It’s just like…why?

why is it lame they offer it to community college students? A lot of people go to community college because they can’t afford the college in the first place. I don’t think the cc transfers are any less deserving of a scholarship than non cc transfers.

damn this sucks wish i got the offer i think awayfromcollege is right more than 300 people have a 4.0. hopefully ill get the offer from the Berkley one

corinnejay:

I didn’t say it’s lame that they offer the scholarship to community college students. I said it’s lame that they ONLY offer the scholarship to community college students.
I don’t think transfers from other 4-year schools are less deserving than those from community colleges. I don’t understand why the scholarship should discriminate based on college selection.

ah yea I misread. My bad.

how many people actually received Berkeley’s Regents letter…?

***? i didn’t get either UCLA/CAL regents. I have a 4.0 with about 50 units done and about 10 left starting this semester. do we get an email or is it by mail?

+_+

^
i feel your pain :'(

Hey anyone know whats the “CPID” number is on the application?
