I can’t access that website that was on the letter?! Has this happened to anyone else?

disregard that ^

I have a quick question. I was planning on going to the UCLA Regents Scholarship office and delivering the transcript in person. Do they prefer it to be mailed, or do you think it will be OK if I deliver the official, sealed transcript to their office in person, so long as it is before the due date of the 25th?

Call them and ask. I don’t think they’ll mind if you drop it in person but I would still recommend you call their office. The lady who files all of this is really helpful and nice.

OK, I’ll give their office a call tomorrow. Thanks, Whatasunnyday. :)

hey hey! CPID number? anyone know what that is?

It’s your seven digit UC app number.

sigh… i have a 4.0 going to community college right now, and I have not received an email/paper mail from either ucla or berkeley… whats going on? :(

Thanks RileyJohn!

For anyone else curious, I just phoned the office and they said that you actually can turn the official, sealed transcript in person to their office. The Regents Scholarship office closes at 4p, but Ms. Ramirez (the coordinator) told me that you can also submit it to the Financial Aid Office, which closes at 5p.

The due date is on March 25th. The essay (300 words maximum) and letter of recommendation (as a PDF file) must be submitted online.

Anyone know if the essay can be a little over 300? Like 325? Or is there an actual cut-off mechanism at a certain length?

anyone done writing it yet? im having a bummer time with this for some reason.

Is anyone else having trouble submitting? When I press submit, it loads for a long time (over two minutes), and then goes to a website called “Runtime Error”…eek!

Nevermind, I figured it out. The problem was caused from trying to submit a PDF that was about 20x too big.

Just submitted mine…I made indentations and spacing between paragraphs but after submitting, it appeared as one big paragraph. Anyone else get this too? I’m guessing everyones is that way?

I think this thread is dead, but I’m gonna try anyways…

xaverichung: I experienced the same thing in my submission. I sat at my comp for a while trying to make it look exceptional only to have their system mush it all together.

Oh well! Good luck by the way, on the Regents and on admission!
