Lately I've been prepping for the PSAT using PSAT practice tests. I'm frustrated at the scoring because I really want the national merit scholarship, but getting like 3 wrong on the writing seciton (for example) shoots me down to a 68-70, whereas on the SAT, 3 wrong on the writing section would give a score of about 750 depending on my essay score. I'm especially frustrated because the req score for the NMS in my state is the highest (225 last year). That means I can get at most 2 wrong per section. So while getting 2 wrong per section (CR, writing, math) on the SAT would get me around a 2340, 2 wrong per section on the PSAT would get me a 224.

Anyone have advice for the PSAT? How should I approach things differently for the psat than the SAT?
