stuff sent out a while ago still not processed? recs/2ndary school reports more importantly

As I recall, last year it took until nearly mid-Nov. for some of my son's documentation (recs and secondary school report specifically) to show up as "processed", even though it had been sent very early. I think with the crush of EA stuff flooding in now, and the need for humans to carefully check and enter the confirmations, it may be best to be a bit patient. At some point (someone will probably chime in with when that might be), you could call Admissions to ask what's up.

thanks for the reply, it just seemed weird, they keep saying 2 weeks, because my 1st recommendation showed up like 5 days after it was sent (sometime in september) and my 2nd part of the application showed up about 6 days after (a week ago)... so i was getting worried since my 2nd rec was sent out way before my 2nd part of the app. but it hadn't shown up yet...

right, cujoe, they say to allow 3-4 weeks or something to process stuff closer to the deadline. With a lot less stuff coming in during Sept, they were probably able to process your 1st teacher rec quickly. I had a teacher send in a rec in early october and it didn't get processed until 2.5 weeks later. Don't worry.

paranoia is now officially setting in... has anyone ever gotten in on one rec alone? haha, especially if that one rec isn't from a math, or science teacher?

it was quite amusing... the night of exactly 2 weeks after my interview, I look at the myMIT thing and it says if your interview has not been processed for two weeks... etc. etc.... anyway... so i email my guy just in case, and right after i email him, i go back on myMIT and... the interview has been processed!!! i wonder what took so long, but i suppose it doesn't matter. I think it went well. I hope it went well. But then again, who doesn't?
