I completed my online application and submitted it to BC and other schools on Nov. 29th. My guidance counselor sent my transcript, recommendations, etc. the next day or two.

A month later, when I saw online that BC still had not received this information, I called the Admissions office. They said they had no record of receiving this information. So, my guidance counselor re-sent everything. This past Friday, I received an email from BC that they are still missing this information.

Today, when I called the admissions office, they said they had no record of ever receiving this information and my counselor should fax it, and then re-send hardcopy AGAIN (for the third time).

I should add that my counselor sent my information to my other schools and they all received it the first time. Also, she has sent information to BC for other kids at my school (they were either accepted or rejected ED), so I feel certain that the problem isn’t on my counselor’s end.

Frustrating? Yes! Anyone else having this problem?

yes- they didn't get my counselor packet either and all other colleges got my counselor's packet!

well i have a feeling that i'll just withdraw my application since i haven't yet paid my application fee. There's no way i can get my information sent again- my school is closed since its examination study leave for us already.
plus i am sort of ****ed that Boston college doesn't allow students to apply with an application fee waiver.

Hmm, that is a problem. I think that your guidance counselor should fax the information over to BC insteading of using the "snail mail". This way, you can be sure that BC receives your application. When about 30,000 people apply to a school, the transcripts can be misplaced.

^ hey i remember that you were the one who told me that boston college doesn't give fee waivers!! :)
no actually i mailed them about it but they didn't reply. i couldn't find anything on their site either and the fee waiver letter from my counselor was in the package with all the transcripts and reccs and they have lost the package so i guess they didn't recieve the letter either.

umm, i think you might have me confused with someone else :p...

too bad they lost the package! well, maybe it's not too late for you to call them and explain what happened. (if you haven't already paid), they might reconsider and allow you to use the fee waiver. good luck!

oh well i thought thats what you meant when you said this-

"i don't think there is one; i just sent my fee waiver in w/ a letter explaining my financial situation and the confirmation letter BC says you have to send in."

i thought that by send in you meant you have to send in the application fee!

perhaps you logged into agora before and changed your password? if you dont remember your password, just call BC and ask them to reset your agora password.

I have exactly the same problem. I submitted my papers, transcripts and all the stuff in mid December. Nothing appeared on Agora, except for the online application. Then I received an email like a week ago, saying that they don't have practically anything on my file, including TOEFL, ACT, SAT (why the hell do they need 2 tests?), recommendations, transcripts. I was furious. I was absolutely sure that my TOEFL and ACT scores must be there, cause I received a letter from testing agencies about my score reports. Only today did TOEFL and recommendations appear, while normally, the should have been on file in December! My ACT and transcripts are still missing.
I have an impression that these guys at BC are just not working well. I mean, in Michigan they got all of my stuff in early January. The same with UVa.

I'm applying as a transfer, and I've has issues with how things were coded as they were added to agora. The system processed my high school transcript (which is now complete - I graduated in 2007) and entered it as "mid year grades" but didn't list that my actual transcript has been recieved.

It was fine though, I called the admissions office and they were able to look up my file and see that everything had been recieved.
