Anyone else in here who's getting ZERO financial aid?

Welcome to the club... :(

how are you paying for it?

Me.

I believe you and I have had this conversation before, though.

really? well it still sucks :(

Yes, and yes.

Anyway, I'm hugely fortunate to have a mother who came into some stock at a very convenient time and so undergrad is covered. Otherwise I would be alllll about the loans.

Close enough, I'm out of state but I got a $1500 scholarship.

UCLA jus reduced my scholarship from 2K to $903 because Im living off-campus

^ Same here. :(

Almost the same here. I qualified for a work study for 2k, and a very small, and I mean very small grant (phew).

The rest? Ask my parents.

I am living on campus, though, making my annual cost to the roof. As a transfer student, I value the cheap but relatively same education I received from SMC.

Next year's plan though will be different. I will have to live off-campus to save some money.

Is everyone here working or is it your parent's income?

In my case it's my previous year's income.

Living off campus doesn't always mean you save money, just so you know. In fact, for the same standard of living I'd say it's more expensive than the dorms. But I'm sure you'll cross that bridge when you get to it.

basically Im paying for my housing through my income...my parents cover the tuition

me. nooo money for me

i have 3700 in private scholarships. but the rest is loans for me. i wouldve gotten gates millenium scholar award had my dad not made a high income last year. haha just when you think a good income one year is a blessing, its a bite in the butt. haha but im still grateful for the opportunity to attend ucla. you can always make money, but you cant buy your way into ucla.

citan what kind of housing do you have?

He has CO-OP HOUSING (UCHA).

http://www.geocities.com/uchaonline/ucha_home.htm

gosh i feel dumb asking that question. he already told me he had co-op. haha
anyone else interested in co-op as much as me? (im reallly interested)

yea I guess...UCLA is good...but that scholarship cut kinda es me off...it was a suddent change with no warning..I was like *...o well I guess my parents will have to pay $1K more...here's budget for me:

Housing - 4K
Tuition - 6K

Don't you think the FAO will have an aswer for that sudden change? I would come knockin' if they knock off a dollar!

no answer...the thing is they had my financial need as $903 but my scholarship as $2K...this was well after I submitted the revision stating the change from on-campus to off-campus. But today I go in and they changed it to $903.

haha I sent them an email, let's see if something happens

ha they just replied...they basically told me to go **** myself
