did anyone else in nj who applied for financial aid get a letter from the new jersey education association stating that you are not eligible for a grant/scholarship thing for penn? the reason stated was that the university of pennsylvania was not a college in new jersey. is this not strange at all?

if this is for the bloustein scholarship, then it's not strange - the terms of the scholarship are that it is only valid for students attending college in nj, and penn's clearly not in jersey.

yeah i hate how the bloustein scholarship is only for a college in NJ... but penn is def worth losing that money :)

i got the same letter......except for a different school outside of new jersey.........

sportsman, what school? i just thought it was a little odd that it mentioned ONLY penn out of every other school i applied to. btw, the word "bloustein" wasn't even mentioned

^That is really weird. You must have gotten in lol.

i got it for only williams, my first choice, so hopefully its a good sign haha

When you applied for financial aid, did you include the Bloustein Scholarship in the application under scholarships?

for williams at least, there was no additional forms other then the CSS Profile and the FAFSA, which were sent to nearly all my schools, which just makes me curious as to why only the letter only referred to williams.

that's why i'm wondering why mine only mentioned penn. if it were an indicator of an acceptance, wouldn't it have mentioned schools like bates and trinity (i've received likelies from both)?

i got the same letter, although it said because of stanford, which, to my chagrin, is apparently not in new jersey. what a shocker

yeah i got that letter.
