Anyone else infatuated with writing?

I'm legit loving to write again. Anyone else in my boat?

I’ve always loved to write.

Poetry baybay.

Also literary essays. Gimme some good texts and an interesting prompt, and I’m all over it.

Me! I’ve always loved to write, but I just started to write again for fun. It’s a great way for me to let out my emotions and express myself, especially my sense of humor. But it’s sort of a problem because I really don’t have time to write right now…haha.

I used to like writing poetry, then stopped writing for a while. Then, after reading a lot of Asimov, picked up writing science fiction short stories. Not sure if I’ll still be doing that, but just went back to poetry a couple days ago, and have 8 poems in 3 days. Think I’ll also start getting back into contests; barely touched on them last time, and never pressed my minor successes.

Math proofs all day!

boo writing

Nope. 10char

^^^Go suck on a wet sticky derivative.

Writing is the stuff of legends.

Creative writing needn’t be for everyone; each to his own.

Quite literally speaking.

Absolutely Not.

Love writing. What are these contests of which you speak? :D

Make a free account here: [url=http://www.winningwriters.com/contests/free/fr_login.php]Winning Writers - The Best Free Poetry Contests - Free Newsletter & Database/url

Then, after you log in, go to the left sidebar, hit “find free contests,” and either enter search terms or just press search without any terms. They’ll be categorized by deadline date; some are specifically for students, some for women, some for people in certain areas, some for certain types of writing, some for everything.

I like to think, so in that way I kind of like to write (because it is an expression of thought).
As long as one is infatuated with writing (and not infatuated with their own writing) I think that’s fine. But the separation between the two is kind of murky, I think. If writing is self-indulgent then I don’t think that’s good.

I’m really interested writing. I’m adamant on becoming a screenwriter, but screenwriters barely receive much credit in Hollywood these days. Maybe I’ll become a Screenwriter/Director.

I write about one poem a week. I’m at about 30 pages single spaced right now

Lol I have ~75 pg single spaced fiction right now. Right now I’m on a roll though, I’ll probably be up to 100 by May if I get lucky with free time.

^^^^^I’m a little edgy about giving my email out to these people–I once saw a poetry contest which was basically called a scam on another website. Didn’t send in an entry after that.

Yes! I love writing.

The website I gave provides lists of free contests and rates them. They also have a list of bogus/scam contests: [Winning Writers - Poetry Scams, Literary Scams, Contests to Avoid](http://www.winningwriters.com/contests/avoid/av_avoid.php)

I adore writing! Creative writing is my preference. Short stories, poems…I’m currently working on a YA novel right now.
