Anyone Else Like Animals?

Hi. I am in the process of applying to colleges.
But I was wondering what colleges are good for studying and majoring
zoology/animal behavior/or some sort of biology in this field

Also, what can I do with these majors
(as in, can I get a decent job?)
Thank You!

I am not majoring in anything like this, but I rather like animals for the record!

Obviously, you could become a veterinarian; however, this is not necessarily the best job for somebody who is a huge animal-lover.

I like animals. Love dogs, esp. little ones. I like to sniff them back when they sniff me. Also if you blow on the dog when its not looking it just looks at you really fast and becomes confused.

Check the links on the Animal Behavior Society website.

Many persons who work in applied areas of animal behavior also do their training in the field of applied behavior analysis. Check the links at the Cambride Center for Behavioral Studies:
[Cambridge Center for Behavioral Studies – Animal Behavior](http://www.behavior.org/animals/)

There are about a billion different things you can do with animals. Do you have a specific species in mind? There’s marine bio, for one, veterinary science, zoology (has NOTHING to do with be able to work in a zoo, about wild animal species versus domesticated), equine sciences (horse trainer, breeder, show rider, stable manager, the list goes on), animal behavior researcher, lab based studies with animals or could track various species in the wild, conservationist, trainer, could work in a zoo or aquarium, breed animals, animal groomer, run or work at an animal rescue/rehabilitation center, etc.

You’ll need to decide which category you want to be in if you want to look at specific programs at various schools. If you’re not sure, try searching schools with a major of “Animal Science” (or Zoology, if that’s more what you’re into).
