anyone else not have a clear #1 school

I don't AT ALL
I have a few schools I really like on my list, and a few that I'd be pretty happy at, but none I really really love right now (maybe after I get accepted and get to visit them?)
there are some schools I absolutely love but sadly, none have either of the majors I plan on doing (I would do a major that those schools have and go to grad school for an extra year but my parents won't let me)
so yeah... I mean I think I'd be happy at any of my choices but I'm just not like extremely enthusiastic for any of them.

any similar situations?

Me too. I love all of the schools on my list and would be happy to attend any of them so basically it comes down to $$$.

That's exactly where I am right now. There are some I'd like to go to more than others, but I don't feel that I can allow myself to have a clear top choice with so much uncertainty (will I get in, will I get enough aid, and so on).

I don't even have a few schools that I really like...

So, you're ahead of me.

I'm only a junior but I have two schools at the top of my list right now. I felt horrible, no offense to anyone that does this, but I made a pro-con list to see which one I will most likely apply to ED next year. I know it is way too early for this stuff but I watch Gilmore Girls too much and felt like doing something Rory would have done in her Chilton days.

I don't think there's anything wrong with having 2 clear cut top choices. Just don't be so set on these schools that you don't consider other ones and make sure you have backups in case financial aid doesn't come through/some family problem comes up and you need to stay relatively close/etc.

For the longest time, my clear-cut number one choice was Smith but I realized that there's a really big chance I won't be able to afford it so I looked for other schools I'd like just as much but cost much, much less.

If you're hoping to get some merit aid it might be best not to have one specific number one school. My daughter has a top three and then two others for her final list.

Just remember, Rory didn't apply anywhere binding ED, and after 17 years of dreaming of Harvard, changed her mind to Yale once April rolled around!

So you may want to re-think your ED decision!

haha yeah thats true
