Anyone else not heard yet?

Either way have you been accepted or rejected yet? Has anyone heard? I applied as a film major...

Same here. Checked WebAdvisor today, and it still says "decision pending" -- aren't all desicions supposed to be mailed by now (and therefore, made)? Oh well, I hope it's up there by Monday or I'm going to have a really bad week.

<~~ still nothing, also. Same boat.

Also applied as a film major. Still waiting.

And again... nothing. Of course, I'm an international from Canada, but even then, I'd have expected something by now.

I thought that it was April 1st? weird.

No news may be good news?

My Mom called them yesterday, and according to them (and WebAdvisor confrmed) my desicion is complete, and was sent out yesterday.

Is it normal for WebAdvisor to withhold my desicion? All it says is like "Desicion complete" or something.

Interesting. If they sent out all of the decisions yesterday, then I'm expecting it in my mailbox tomorrow.

My Web Advisor now says Decision complete too. I don't know... I get a bad feeling about this. :(

Nevermind. Nothing today.

Me neither. Well, surely by tomorrow we should hear? I hope it isn't a case of rejections being placed in regular mail, meaning they come much later after being sent!

Got the letter today... It's nice and suggest that I go to another university for a year and try again... Good luck to anyone else and maybe see you in film school in 2008!

^ Sorry to hear... did they not offer you regular admission?

No they didn't???

If you don't mind me asking, what are your stats?

GPA: 3.6 (uw) I think my weighted GPA is 3.9
ACT: 28

I didn't take the SAT as I only applied to private and CA State Schools. I'm considering appealing the admissions decision at Chapman because I didn't put a second choice. Unlike USC they don't have a process. I've been accepted to other reputable schools in film and am not sure what I should do. What is your back up? My parents are pushing me to go to a community college and having a better chance to transfer to either USC or Chapman in one year. What do you think?

Yeah, transfers definitely have a better shot (assuming you get a great gpa at cc and are willing to go through that whole process again). As for me, Chapman is it. I'm in at FSU, but not in film. Rejected at USC, and still waiting on Loyola Marymount, so if Chapman doesn't come through, I'll be in serious trouble...

^ If I were you I would call your admissions counselor or at least e-mail them tomorrow. What was your major? I'm in So CA and all admissions and rejects were mailed on 4/3 if you haven't heard the decision could still be pending... I'm off to visit colleges with my family next week during spring break.

Finally got my rejection. I was hoping that they would offer me regular admission even though I didn't get into the film program. Oh well. Sounds like it was really competitive this year... everywhere.

Rejected. And, I have to be honest, I'm quite shocked. My stats are well within range (or so I thought)... is it out of the question to call them and ask (politely, of course) why I was rejected? It's really more of a curiosity thing at this point. I don't know if I'd be able to put it behind me without knowing.
