I am the best procrastinator there ever was...

I wish I could just go start now, but... i can't.

Have you all finished yours? (please say no). Will emory look unfavorably upon me if mine is postmarked the 15th-- the due date?

thanks!

I assume you have applied elsewhere via the commonapp. All you really need to do is write a short 'Why Emory essay". It took me less than an hour.

BTW, Emory prefers online vs paper apps.

yup, emory is the only one i have left to send...

and i didn't know they prefer online... i think i'm still going to mail mine though b/c i have a resume i want to send, unless i can do that online but it's 4 pages long...

i def. would not worry about postmarking on the 15th..... they know that most students will wait til the last minute. i actually applied to the emory scholars program in november but they didn't send the complete application to my school's guidance department, so i got a one week extension and turned mine in almost a whole week late. even though they made an exception, i was freaked out about being so late so i paid like $15 to send it overnight as soon as i got it finished. but in your case, there is certainly no need for that as long as it is postmarked jan. 15.

to tell you the truth (i know this is absolutely horrible and dishonest but you guys don't know my true identity so it doesn't really matter if you know....) for my vanderbilt application i hadn't finished it on the 10th so i got my dad to take the envelope to his work and get it metered to say jan. 10th but i actually took it by the post office and stuck it in the metered mail box the next day. i know, i'm a terrible person. but you might thank me one day when the same thing happens to you and you know you're going to miss a deadline....:)
