Ugh I'm freaking out about the AP Biology exam. Lots of people on CC says it's so easy but I don't see how it's easy! Everyone in my class has decent low 90's some girl even has a 100! But I'm barely getting by with an 80. I bomb all the tests but the only reason I'm not failing is because I do well on the assignments and labs that's just about it. I read and read and put my heart and soul into that class but I still can't do well. Let's just that Campbell bio book is not exactly my cup of tea but I still read it. At this rate I'm sure I'm getting a 1 on the exam. I'm so afraid that I'll come across an essay where I have absolutely no clue and ending leaving all 4 blank. So does anyone have advice so I'll at least get a 2 or 3?

I'm studying for AP Biology right now -_-. I've heard the AP exam is easier than any test you'll ever take in the class. AP Bio MC questions seem pretty blunt according to practice books. The tests I get in the class I killer, I swear to God. Just start reviewing, NOW. I personally suck at Bio, have a C at the moment, which is why I'm reviewing the AP exam now so I don't get screwed. You should too. I've known people who've gotten C in the classes but got 5's on the exam. That just goes to show how easy the AP Exam CAN be. Study now and good luck. What chapter are you on?

No it is an easy class and you should feel bad for doing bad

Well I am not too fond of the essay part either, though I think the multiple choice part is pretty straight-forward, def. easier than the tests my teacher gives. I think that as long as you read campbell, and did your assignments well, and review, you will do fine. it's very unlikely you cannot think of anything whatsoever to do with the essay topic giving, you could probably write at least something related.

Well right now my teacher said we can't afford class time to spend a week on one chapter like we used to. He was out for like 3 months because he was accused of sexual harassment. During that time, my class was so lost. Right now we are going at a very rapid paste, covering 3 chapters a week. This week we studied animal systems, homeostasis, and nutrition which is like chapter 41-43 or whatever we skipped around and we have a test tomorrow on all chapters. So far, I've been studying A LOT, pulling all nighters, all the way back from chapter 3 on water to chapter 15. Now that I think about it, he did say something about making his tests harder so that when we are taking the actual exam, it's more generalized and be easier.

Thanks, ironmetal250 -_______________-

I hope you guys are right about the AP Bio Exam. I’ve been passing with a high C maybe low B all year. I’m afraid that this entire year is going to be a waste. At my school the class used to be 2 periods but due to budget cuts and all kinds of other stuff it was cut to 1 period. So my teacher is trying to cram everything into half the time he normally taught it and he spent like the entire first 9 weeks on maybe 10 chapters (going the rate he normally would). Now we’re cutting it close and still have tons of other stuff to cover, so we do anywhere between 2-5 chapters a week. It’s way to much for most of my class to handle, there are only like 2 A’s in the entire class, the majority are B’s and C’s. He says that using practice AP tests as an indicator that maybe 1/4 of the class will pass if that. And I’m not saying that he’s not a good teacher, I actually think he’s one of the best science teachers I’ve had, I had him for regular bio freshmen year, he did a great job (I actually had the highest grade the entire year for all his classes) but the school system basically destroyed any chance that we had of learning anything this year.
Do you guys know of any other study guides available out there. We use the Cliff Notes version, it seems pretty good, but I just want a couple different resources to have.

It seems like a lot of people are overwhelmed by AP Bio.

I never took it, so I wouldn’t know.

I have given up. I just guess on the test, take my f, do the worksheet and hopefully get a C. Seriously i hate that class.

Well at my school Ap Biology is not easy. It’s the 4th marking period and no one ever got an A in the class.
