Personal life aside (which is none of our business anyway), I still have respect for Tiger and what he has done for golf. While it is unlikely that he will win the Masters, I can definitely see him contending on Sunday, provided he does make the halfway cut. IMO, this is "Part 2" of Tiger's career as a golfer and person so I'm interested to see how he conducts himself. Unfortunately, many people I know still carry a strong animosity toward Tiger and are actually rooting against him. I'm a strong believer in second chances and I hope that he can get his life in order. Anybody else supporting Tiger here?

I’m kind of torn. I’ve always been so fed up with the media revealing everything about the personal lives of athletes and celebrities, so I don’t judge them too much based on their what they do in their free time and more on their professional careers. But I have a hard time not passing judgment on Tiger because I think cheating is one of the most despicable things a man can do. If I were to put that aside, I would root for him. It’s a joy to watch him play golf. But I’m still not sure if I can do that.

I really do hope he wins. And I do think he has a decent chance. Even if he’s out of practice, he has an amazing record of getting his ball in the hole in the least number of shots. What’s it, 18 holes?

^ HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA. Love it.

^^ brilliant haha!

I support Shingo Katayama. His trademark cowboy hat is win.

I am not rooting for Tiger. He had his run. Let someone else dominate now.

^^ I concur, Shingo’s hat is made of pure win. As for Tiger, meh I’m not rooting against him per se but as Northstarmom pointed out if he wins everything golf will become boring.

I just saw the new Nike commercial.

It seems as if they’re desperately trying to reinvent his image. They want their pretty Tiger ads back.

^ Well ad people get rusty… After X years of commericals featuring Tiger Woods holding a razor and nothing else they couldn’t think of anything good (seriously the new Gillette commercials are awful)
