4:43 EST, nothing.

I reckon you will have to wait for another 3 hours at least, as Collegeboard only opens up for business at 8am and I doubt you are the first person Collegeboard has on its list for scores updates.

Sorry for sounding harsh, but it's fact...

They're up.

Scores are up 4:57 EST

They're up

****. My CR and Writing went down by 70 and 40 points respectively. Maths went up by 80. Dammit dammit dammit. Anyone know if colleges take best of sections from each test?

I feel your pain. I think most schools superscore anyway.

Most? You sure? Thank god.

I really dont know what to do! i got an amazing CR but my writing was lower than i thought (still fine though). math though, i just cannot seem to get into the 700's. i just overthink the questions and try to solve them and end up losing time. i'm an 11th grader in AP calculus, i KNOW i'm good at math, the situation is embarassing. i don't want to retake but i guess i may. :(

Ugh just got my scores back. It was the first time taking it for me and I was a little nervous. I got a 2080 which isn't great. Do people usually improve their second time taking it? I think nerves got to me. I want at least at least in the the 1450s range (without writing).

I just got my scores. I'm an international transfer student so I don't have a chance to re-take the test before the deadlines.
I'm applying to some really ridiculous schools: Middlebury, Amherst, Dartmouth, Yale, Stanford, Brown and UPenn.
My overall score is 2020. I know, it's not great at all.
I know for some of the applications, submission of SATs is optional. Should I not send my scores since they are on the lower end for acceptances to any of these institutions? I have a really strong high school and university record as well as excellent ECs.
My scores were: CR 730 M 590 W 700. I hadn't done maths in 3 years before I attempted the SATs. Needless to say, it shows.
I don't know if it's relevant, but my SAT II scores were:
French 760
Literature 750.
PLEASE HELP. I REALLY need advice!

I did so badly. I was hoping for AT LEAST 2200, but all i got was 2150. 740 CR 660 M 750 W. The math score is very disappointing, reading is a relief (my highest score yet in that section) and writing is meh...i've gotten 800 before. I hate my math score. I may have to retake...a fourth time. Or would that be dumb?

Jessica92: That was exactly my score (the first time I gave it). Second time I gave it my score fell by like 40 points. Sucked.

Wow I am so ed. I got a 2220 (800 math, 690 cr, 730 writing). If only my stupid CR score went up by ten damn points I wouldnt have to take this * again. Now I have to sit down for four fucking hours on a Saturday morning just to get a 700 on CR and maintain the other two scores....FUCK!!!

I already had 710 on Reading and 800 on Math, and my new 710 Writing score basically says that I could have possibly gotten $40k if I hadn't screwed up Freshmen year...

username, i'm in almost exactly the same boat as you, but now the 690 CR is forcing me to try to take the test again and get into the 700-800 bracket. :-

Wow, this is sick. You are all doing so well. Stop complaining; just be happy with your scores please. You realized the national average for this test is 1500 (AND THAT'S ALL THREE SECTIONS!)

God I hate CC sometimes.

Maybe the people on CC are trying to be better than the national average?

Seriously, some people really want to go into a certain career/field, and know that going to College X would really help them get there. And naturally, when their scores aren't up to College X's par, they want to get them up. Why does it bother you so much?

they probably feel like crap...hearing that others are freaking out for 2220's...
haha
well don't worry..i feel exactly the same X_X

shen and username...

i also got a 690 reading, along with a 760M and 750W for a 22 flat..and there is NO WAY i would take the test again to get in the 700's for reading alone.

Shen--If you did less well than you wanted/expected on the whole test , then maybe you should take it again.

However, for username-- a 690 is solidly in the middle 50% percent for almost every college. (As are your other scores.) Unless you believe you will be able to get ABOVE the middle 50% of scorers (as listed on CB website) for whatever school(s) you are looking at, it is POINTLESS to take it again, not to mention a waste of your time and money. Colleges use standardized tests as a basic standard for their admissions; if you are below the middle 50% it is much tougher to get in, and if you are above, the test MAY help you get in. Being in the 700's is NOT a magic number for colleges in any way, and taking it again with your scores may actually hurt you, as they will see it as you having nothing better to do with your saturday mornings.

If you think you can improve in every section; go ahead and indulge yourself.

The difference between your 2220 and lets say a 2280 (if you go to 750CR and maintain others) will not get you in or out of a college. At all.
