Anyone else self-studying AP Psych and/or AP Environmental Science this year?

I'm self-studying these two and just got the REA AP Psychology review book with online features. It looks really interesting and I can't wait to start. Is anyone studying these? What are you using to study?

is environmental science like ecology + bonus stuff about the air? how would someone summarize it for another someone else who doesn’t know what it is about.

^ Duh what?

i fixed the grammar. can you read it now?

Thanks, bro. APES surprisingly, at least in my class, dealt a great deal with agriculture and the economy.

If self studying AP psych, do you need an official textbook or will a review book(PR or Barrons) be enough?

From what I’ve read, a review book seems to be enough to get a 5 in psych

oh i thought it was gonna b about the ecologies. that doesn’t sound very scientific.

Does anyone have experience of self studying AP psych?

You’ll be fine with a review book. If you can get your hands on some old tests then that’d be great.

Well you do learn about the different biomes, ecosystems, and physical habitats, but then it branches into what resources are there, how the stage of the country’s development determines how the resources are exploited. You also learn about modernized countries use their information and how that plays into how their cities function. Then you go into how they functions affects their environment and what problems/pollution they experience. It’s an eye-opening class.

Niquii77, how do I get the past tests? Is it on the AP central thing?

I would go to your AP Psych teacher at your school. Even though you’re not in their class, I’m sure if you explain your situation they would be willing to help you.

Maybe I should have done that before school ended…hahaha

Anyway, thanks. I’ll be sure to do that when I go back to school.

oh thanks for the expanded summary.

I’m going to attempt self-studying Psych. I know its an easier self-study, but I have a difficult course schedule this next year so I’m not sure. I self-studied World History this last year, and I don’t think it turned out too well (still haven’t gotten scores yet) so I’m a bit skeptical about self-studying APs in general.

envi self study

resources: physical geology by tarbucks, biology textbook, trololeutrophicationvocab

Hello, I’m also self-studying for AP pysch this year. I got a textbook and some review books (PR, Barron’s). If anyone has any experience with this, do you think this will be enough?

I’m studying AP psych this year ! :-)
