<p>i have absolutely no idea what my chances are, i have test scores for it (800math, 760 writing, 690 reading, 780 math II) but my gpa is not near what i will need, unless they really weight math/science classes. i think i had good recs and a good essay, but times like this i wish i tried harder in spanish and history=. i didn't really care about HMC til i visited and now i dont want to go anywhere else. hopefully my college counciler really pulled through for me on it, cause i dont feel good about my chances.</p>

I'M FREAKING OUT!
I have a tech memo due tomorrow for 168B (Structural Testing and Analysis) and the class is taught by one of the head techies from SpaceX. This "lab" has been taking forever (20+hours now) and I JUST finished with the Matlab coding and have to solve the problems (plugging in spaceflight data to the scripts) and then make tons of pretty graphs and write it all up.</p>

<p>This is for the most part better than my SAT scores. Though, I did do pretty well on the SATII...800 physics, 790miic...530 on writing...haha</p>

<p>It isn't all about the grades and scores. Seriously. I think such things don't tell very much and have a linear correlation to aptitude of about 0.5</p>

There are new plans to add 200 more students eventually. I guess they will be building new dorms? They should really just add another 4 floors onto West.</p>

<p>Joking about the 200 more students or 4 extra floors on West? Prof Evans said that the 200 more students thing was pretty much set. The 4 extra floor on West idea is just a dream. Why not have the best dorm at Mudd get 3X as big?</p>
<p>Ive heard 3 different variations on the student increase. </p>

<li>An increase of 200 students yield per year (would be 380 per year, ie retarded)</li>
<li>An increase of 200 students total (50 more per year)</li>
<li>An increase TO 200 per year yield (20 more per year)</li>
</ol>
<p>And #3 is the one I heard from Saeta and Eckert. </p>
<p>Anyways, I would love to see 4 more stories added to West. Thats a 200% increase in limit of the height of fires.</p>
<p>Are they finally going to start building on the other side of Foothill? Not sure where else they'd add new dorms without taking away playing fields...</p>
