Welllll... my SAT are pretty dang low compared to everyone else because I'm a HORRIBLE timed test taker; however, I do have leadership and ECs, & did all 3 essays

I'm debating on whether to just attend Blinn for a year or try out TAMUG and switch campuses.

I highly doubt ill get into Blinn Team or off waitlist with my SAT scores lol
but I have other things going for me...

I checked my financial aid on HOWDY and its says I have about $14000 in rewards from fafsa… is this a good sign of acceptance ???
I don’t want to get my hopes up

oh jk, thats $14000 in loans they offered and $5000 in my pell grant… but i’ve always received letters saying that they cant process my aid until i’ve been admitted

Has your AIS been updated??

Also, have you been accepted to A&M- Galveston? It could be due to that :)

ohh yeah probably… .well then… my hopes shot down lmao
sigh oh well… back to being stressed
:P

Don’t be stressed! It only makes time go by slower My little brother hasn’t heard anything yet (he’s been waitlisted also)… there’s still hope!

lol yeah hardly. the light at the end of this tunnel is real-real dim
I’m hoping that things will work out though but I suppose its back to preparing my backup plan

Yes… I am still waiting also. Hopefully I will see a step 6 today. I’ve been waiting for what seems like six months now? I’m getting extremely irritated though, some of the people on this site have gotten in with the same credentials as me, and I have yet to hear? Idk whats going onnnnn I thought it was maybe because of everyone’s picked major? Is that true?

well supposedly if your major is full then they put you in general studies.

I know they’ve already admitted people but I’ve also been on step 5 since mid-march and check my AIS every single day for a change and every day it’s the same number lol

I’m hoping for at least Blinn TEAM but even that is competitive to get in to…

ehh, I know people who are in the blinn team right now, and I wouldn’t call them exceptionally smart. I’m just hoping that I get into TAMU off the waitlist so I don’t have to worry about the blinn team situation, but if worse comes to worse, then I’m praying for the blinn team! I wonder how much longer its going to be…

My daughter has also been accepted to Galveston and the admissions councelor that came to her school told her that choosing Galveston wouldn’t put her at a disadvantage to getting in off the waitlist. We’ll see, she is still waiting.

haha yeah- I was paranoid about my acceptance to Galveston affecting my CS admission.
I’m still debating.

Blinn TEAM would be great if waitlist doesn’t work out but a LOT of people requested for both.

Okay, well the deadline for may 17th is coming up soon… and its making me EXTREMELY nervous. Does anyone think they are still doing the wait list entries, or has anyone received anything for the Blinn team, or any declines AT ALL?

no idea. hopefully they’re still working on the waitlist

i think that blinn team stuff gets sent out after May 17 and then denials, but im not sure. I’ve heard that some get offered blinn team as late as early June

yup that is also true. it’s happened in the past.
I think they fill in the waitlist spots, people accept or reject them, then they can accept another person and once they’ve filled in all their open spots, then Blinn TEAM admissions comes in, (I’m assuming), and who knows how long that will take.

I’m still waiting too my SAT scores weren’t so hot either. This sucks… I’m really keeping my fingers crossed because I let my deadline pass for Baylor because I would rather go to A&M. Blinn Team would be great but I hear it’s like impossible to find oncampus housing & I won’t be able to afford an apartment…

I’m on the same boat
I hate SATs and ACTs cause I can never finish a section fast enough lol

What are your stats sadie?
any ECs?

I didn’t put a deposit in or notify any of my safety schools of whether or I not I’ll attend. Truth is, I don’t see the point in wasting my money on a school I don’t plan on graduating from. As for apartments, I’m not too worried about finding one. My parents are helping me out and I’ll be getting a part-time job as well, so I would really like Blinn TEAM.

1130 on the combined math & reading, 1680 on all. Top 16% & a 4.4 gpa because our school weights differently. I’m in choir, fccla, spanish honor society, criminal justice internship, key club, & i have like 80 community service hours & have had two part time jobs. I guess if i don’t get in I’ll go to texas state because I won’t be able to live off campus.
Today I got an acceptance letter from Texas A&M International University & my mom opened it before I got home & texted me that I had got accepted. I’m all freakin’ out & i get home & its for the A&M in Laredo. Epic fail…
