I was under the impression that you don't find out if you got accepted or rejected at UC's until ~mid March, but out of nowhere I got an email from UCI today indicating that the status of my application changed. I checked it out and it suddenly says that I was accepted. Is this a mistake or something, or do they sometimes make decisions early?

UCI was my safe safety (in case the world implodes or something and I get rejected everywhere else), and I guess it's good to know I already have 1 UC to fall back on "just in case." I got in with Regent's and "Campuswide Honors Program." I'm shooting for Berkeley though.

Congratulations! If you got the Regents' scholarship at UCI, you have a good chance of getting into Berkeley. I haven't heard of anyone else getting the UCI scholarship yet, but UCLA and Berkeley have sent out Regents' invitations, so I would imagine that most of the UCs are starting to choose their Regents' scholars.

Wow.. congratulations. UCI is kind of my safety too, but I'm international, and can't afford it even if I get in because they don't offer us finaid.

warblersrule86 - Bah, sorry about that. I rarely (read: never) go to the forums of the individual colleges and didn't think about it beforehand.
