Anyone else taking it in October?

My SAT score is horrible. I only went up by 10 points - meaning I only got one extra question correct. So I guess retaking it a third time wouldn't hurt... and I have much free time over the summer (sort of).
Anyone else retaking it? What do you need to brush up on?
I need to brush up on Critical Reading - BADLY.

I am going to take it again.

:/

CR is the easy part for me.
Math kills me.

I was thinking about it. Hopefully if I can do well on my practice test than I’ll take it in October (for the first time)

I’m taking it in October! I’m aiming for a top score!

I am…and I am going to have to raise my previous score my 500+ points…non stop studying soon… :(

I am…June SAT i got a 1650 =( Very disappointed, considering my first time i got a 1600…only 50 point increase smh. Also taking ACTs.

This time I’m going to use my Princeton Review + Grubers Math + Silverturtles.

I don’t see how silverturtle helps. Can you explain how you use it?
I like the Xiggi method better.

I’m taking it again!
My score was abysmal by CC standards and I want to get it past 2100.

I got a 2090 (610 CR; 780 MA; 700 (8 essay) WR) which is low for the typical CC-er. Probably a retake in October or November would help. Anyone else struggling with CR; any tips?

^ Just read books more, and treat them like the SAT. Think them through and whatnot. That’s what I did and my CR score went up by 30. Not much, but it’s okay.

All I have to do is increase my critical reading score (670). I got ~760 on practice tests and then this  Hopefully I can improve my consistency by October.

Me too guys we need to help each other out
May 1590 -> June 1670
Super score 1680

Idk how I increased so much in a month with finals and nonsense but whatever I need a 1200 m&r & I have a 1090 ( reading grrrrr)

^^Lolz
I don’t know how that would happen.

You mean with studying tips?

I would love some of those.
1620 (superscore)
sat (2st time)=1580
2nd time (1580 like ***?!?)

-___-
I’m running out of options. I need a 2000 to be happy.

I am!
May Test: 2060 (720M 710CR 630W). Hoping for above a 2150. Writing up to at least a 700 and math above a 750

You all make me look soooo bad!!!
What did you guys do to get mid-high range scores like that???
Share!!!

Edit:

Just noticed your post needIV.

Thanks :)

I’ll just focus more.

I’m retaking my subject tests. Does anyone know: if a school allows Score Choice, they don’t see all subject test scores if you don’t send the bad ones, correct!

Does anyone know when direct hits 2012 will be available

Everyone seems to swear by it so I thought id give it a shot for October

@needIV: Ugh well I wish I had your writing!! I usually get mid 700’s on the writing in practice tests, so i was very surprised that my actual score was about 100 points below what i thought. And reading is usually my worst, so i am sooo happy with a 710. And yeah i feel like my math was all stupid mistakes. I know i accidentally changed one in the math section instead of the writing (it was the last minute of the test and i was feeling pressured to change it i guess so i changed the answer in the wrong section) so i should have done better. hopefully the october wont be too bad!

I’m taking it! First time but I think I’ll have the hardest time with the math : /.

@ black rose what specific schools are u considering?
