Anyone else unable to access Wolverine Access?

After I submitted my application near the end of October, I'd been regularly checking my application status with my Friend account that I created. However, I discovered recently that I've been unable to access Wolverine Access. I can log-in fine, but when I try to enter the "New and Prospective Student Business" (which is where you check your status), I get a message telling me to create a Kerberos password and uniqname - both of which I know are for current UM students. I have neither. How am I supposed to check my application status?

Thanks!

I’ve been experiencing the same problem since yesterday!! I wonder what’s up. I thought I was close to being accepted when I saw this but I applied on October 31. Please someone help!

Yup, same here. I’ve been able to log in before today and done so many, many times ;-)

Nothing will be up before 6 AM tomorrow, and I hope that I’m accepted . . . and that I can check it on WA! Weird.

Hopefully it’s nothing too serious. I’m getting real anxious about getting a decision too lol.

Have you tried calling the number they post in that message?? I haven’t done so yet but has anyone else tried?

I’ve heard that they do this to people right before they post their deferral on their WA.

^
Oh wow really? I don’t remember encountering that problem

To OP: I haven’t signed into Wolverine Access since my deferrel but I’ll try signing in to see what happens… in purpose to answer your question.

Edit: Yeah everything works fine for me.

Wow that’s great to know (sarcasm) :[

I was kidding, guys. Calm down. :P

LOL wow can’t believe i was that gullible

but really have you ever encountered this? or has anyone ever told you about that happening to them?

I actually did have this issue right after I made my account. It kicked me to the uniquname and Kerberos login form for a few hours, but then it went back to normal. I’m pretty sure it’s just them tweaking some code and doing maintenance, which is a good indicator that they will be releasing more decisions tomorrow. If anything, your inability to log in is a sign of progress! Good luck to the OP and everyone else.

i cant access wolverine access at all…

This happened to me a couple weeks back. I emailed them and they sent a response back saying it could happen if you have a relative working at UMich and the system gets mixed up. You have to contacct them to sort it out.
Or if you’ve applied and been accepted to another UMich campus, you have a uniqname and kerberos password or should be getting one soon

AHHH I did get accepted to U-M Dearborn just last week! that’s probably the reason then!! Awesome thanks for the help guys & for the good indicator CronoTriggerfan. :D

lol crono, you freaked me out! (i. am. getting. accepted.)
and yeah, that must be it, because i just got accepted to u of m dearborn. so does that mean that if my acceptance is on wa tomorrow, i won’t be able to see it because i don’t have the right login anymore?

hmmm don’t know about that but I have read on other threads on here that UMich will shoot you an email the same day they accept you (but like 8 hours after they post it on WA). So keep an eye on your inbox lol, I know I will be!

thanks, i’ll probably end up calling the number to see what happens. good luck to us both tomorrow, hopefully we’ve both gotten in!

I FOUND THE FIX!!

Basically, like scooter30 said, if you’ve been accepted any of the UMich campuses (Dearborn, Flint) they will have automatically created your account in their system; and this new account will be associated (or more like merged) with your friend account that you created.

I got a letter in the mail today from U-M Dearborn and it had my Uniqname and Kerberos password in it. When i logged in, it had all of the stuff, including the Application status to Ann Arbor. So problem SOLVED!

Good luck everyone! I’m still waiting for a decision to be made by Ann Arbor. I got into Flint and Dearborn
