<p>As I posted in another thread, our EFC is the same (and our home, which I think is considered in the College Board part of Fin Aid, is worth less). Our daughter’s University Grant is thus far $5000 less than last year. Loans are the same, Work study went up $1000, but it’s going to be really hard for a Senior with 17 units to earn all that was assigned. So that’s a net of $4000 less in need-based aid if you offset the University Grant with the increased work study.</p>

<p>Daughter is going to contact USC soon but we are quite concerned about the drop in need-based University Grant aid. We’ve been hoping it was a mistake or something would show up in the package to offset it as USC fin aid has always treated us well.</p>
<p>What’s going on and why hasn’t USC explained to returning students if they are scaling back need-based aid? It sounds from this and another thread as though a number of students have found their grant aid reduced.</p>
