Anyone else waiting over two months now?

I got that message today as well. All of my friends waiting to hear did not get the message, so it looks like we’re next up!

My son’s message was changed this morning, so (fingers crossed) it looks like only a few more days for us also. I hope the decision is posted by Friday - it would be nice to know before the weekend. Good Luck to everyone!

daughter’s message also updated to the same, however, noticed that the page format has changed to a sattelite campus’ information. I think this may be a sign she will not be going to UP. Any thoughts?

Is the UP campus picture still on the upper left? And is the satellite campus her second choice?

No, it is a picture of the sattelite campus, and yes this was her second choice.

My son applied in September…the website reads, and has read since September:
Your application is complete, all of your required materials are here, and we are reviewing your credentials. A decision will be available here as soon as one is made.

Is this the same message that you received before yours changed to:

“Thank you for applying to Penn State. Your application has been received and is being reviewed. An admission decision will be posted here in the coming days.”???

It hardly seems any different! This is shear agony.

Yes…that was the same message until this morning. I’m pretty sure she will be disappointed with the satellite (Altoona). I think I’d rather she go to some of the other schools that she has been already accepted to (Drexel, Temple, LaSalle, Philly U) than Altoona.

FWIW, we were advised by alumni and others that when submitting an application to "main " campus, you check off willing to start in summer and NOT mention any satellite campus as a 2nd choice…One friend’s child actually put "main’ down twice, and was accepted using the aformentioned advise…Whether it was a coincidence or not,who knows…

I met with an admissions person at a branch, who advised that I put fall frst, and summer second. She also said that it doesn’t matter if you only put UP, you will still be directed to a branch if you are not accpeted at UP.

And spring35, mine still shows the UP picture with the new message, but it may mean nothing at all. Although now I’m scared to go look again.

I applied in the beginning of November and the message hasn’t changed at all. I’m beginning to get really nervous.

My stats are 1240/1600 1830/2400, 3.6 W 5.0 UW. I applied as an English major. My counselor has told me that I should be fine, but I’m not so sure anymore.

My daughter’s status changed today to “notified in the coming days” and her page also has the branch campus info. She did not put a branch campus on her application since she knew she would not attend. I’m guessing they give you the option even if you don’t apply for it. She has decided on Florida State anyway but good luck to everyone!

My DS’s message changed this morning, too. He has only applied for main campus since that’s the only place his major is offered. He didn’t tell me if he has a different campus pictured, but it wouldn’t matter anyway since he can’t go to another campus. But, at least now we know we’ll get the official decision in a few days. He applied in November so this has been an extremely long time to wait for so-called “rolling admissions.”

Just posting what i am told by those who attended and used the “hook”, i’d pay little attention to the admissions director of a satellite campus, though i won’t disagree with the fact of offering you admission to a satellite campus after being denied to “main”,it makes their admission rates look great…

I’m not sure what the first part of your post means, but a high admissions rate is not necessarily desirable. A lower admissions rate is an indication of a more selective school; PSU prides itself on having one of the lowest rates in the Big Ten.

if my status hasnt changed to the-
Thank you for applying to Penn State. Your application has been received and is being reviewed. An admission decision will be posted here in the coming days.

does that mean my application hasnt even been looked at yet?

Okay. Kind of weird. Now the UP graphics are up on the status page instead of Altoona graphics. Message still is the same…“coming days”. Very frustrating!

My status changed about 5 days ago to the “coming days” status, and I got my acceptance yesterday.

3.5 out of 4 UW, 4.5 W. 1280 M+CR. 1880 M/CR/W, college of engineering.

Congratulations, Spoonmaster, on your acceptance!

I applied October 15th (sent in all my apps that day), and my message has been the same for a few months now. I’m tempted to call, but admissions is rolling so I don’t want to pester.

I just received my acceptance to my RU schools (actually, they never “informed” me via email or anything – I only found out because I check my schools obsessively) so I’m hoping my PSU ones come soon.

I was holding off until tomorrow to start calling because I know most schools - okay, that’s a lie, I only know Yale’s date (1/20) - set a date to process applications. I haven’t heard anything from them either so I have plenty of calls to make tomorrow…

Oh, whoops, looks like we were writing stats and major.

General: 1480 CR+M, 2210 CR/M/W, No GPA (~97-98), Biomed engineering so the Engineering School.

I applied to University Park and whichever campus had BME/Bio and was near Philly. =)
