I don’t think that getting those sub scores for that section means you got everything right, the ACT people after doing the curve use this chart to figure out the scores for each section and usually you need about 70 right to get a 30 on English as the table goes. On the TIR’s I’ve seen the curve is harsh on the Reading and Science section each question wrong bumps you down 1 pt or so… I was in the same situation as you were 1 away from the higher score.

yeah. i just thought 18/18 would be all questions for that sub section were right.
i did have a 17 reading… so… i wasn’t surprised… just thought I did better. I prep’d hard for all, mostly English. But I guess you can’t really prep for Rhetorical Skills, lol.

yeah I did better on the Reading than last time and got a 4 pt increase my English went up dramatically as well, maybe the English section was easier than the June english? My other scores went up a tiny bit or leveled off. I still think that I got shafted on the Reading section as that was the lowest and prevented me from getting at least a 25. I guess at the same time its also good to see more than a 4 pt increase on 1 section which ultimately helped raise my overall composite. Would you consider taking the ACT again?

I’m taking it again. I’m just going to now focus on Reading, unfortunately, there really isn’t a way to study for it.

You’re right on the English section being easier, and yeah, you should probably take it again. Oct 2nd is the deadline for next. I’m applying places EA so I want this last shot!
