<p>I'm in the midst of sending off paperwork and filling out applications (and shocked at how much my college charges for pieces of paper) and rethinking HOW much I want to transfer. Looking at the situation both optimistically and pessimistically, I think it's more than likely than I'll end up staying at my school, which is a good school. I'm just not sure that it's the best place for me. I'm applying to some schools with low transfer rates, and maybe I won't be lucky in the financial aid process. I'm already pretty sure that if I don't transfer for next fall, as a sophomore, I should just forget about the whole idea and instead go abroad my junior year for a change of atmosphere. </p>
<p>Has anyone on the board ended up staying at their original school after going through a round of transfer applications? How did you feel?</p>
