Anyone ever stayed in a Couzens Large Triple?

Hey everyone,

I was placed in a Couzens in a large triple. I was wondering what it was like?

How big are they?
Is it comfortable?
What is its size compared to other triples at Michigan?

Thanks!

I am in a double at Couzens... Anyone know anything about Couzens is it nicer? worse? About the same as other dorms?

Large trips as i understand it are usually 2 rooms...a small room and a larger connected room. You can put all 3 people in one room, or split up
or do whatever. I think its kinda cool, but its up to you I guess.

KB

My friend lived in couzens last year. He liked it a lot and from what I noticed while visiting, its a pretty nice dorm.

Oh...large trips are differant than reg. trips....most trips are only one room.

KB

There are virtual tours of the dorms available on the housing website.

what floor is this on? i'm familiar with the first floor triple and maybe the third floor.

couzens is a nice dorm imo...large hallways, and has a modern look. not like most dorms which look like some sorta cross between a gothic dungeon and a catacomb.

most rooms are singles though, and it's not a social dorm (relatively), but crazy stuff does happen occasionally

I'm not sure which floor yet, I just recieved my contract today.

What are the triples on the floors you mentioned like?
Are they each different?

the regular triple on the first floor was about 15X15. it had a small room near the entrance where a bed was placed. the other two were bunked in an L shape...one up, one down. overall, i would say that the guys there had enough space...i mean, there isn't much to do in ur room other than sit at ur desk or sleep in ur bed.

i think most triples are around the 15X15 size at couzens although shapes may differ.

if you go on the housing website and look closely enough, u can find dimensions for almost every room in every dorm...this was made for reApp last year but hasn't been updated so most info is there. also, the videos are helpful too

i lived in a deluxe double 13x15 last year and let me say it was actually too large...such a pain having to get up and walk to get food, clothes, etc...we literally had about 50 sq ft of clear space in the middle

damn, you're lazy.

Standard double in south quad is 12x19 (12x19=228>195=13x15), and I wouldn't say there was too much room. Open space is good to have.

yea. Barry's room had so much space and a tiny ass TV to watch the Rose Bowl on...lol

you watched the Rose Bowl on a tiny ass TV? That must of sucked.

hahaha....oh well...didn't really want Texas to win either but that didn't happen.

I looked at the virtual tours. Damn, those rooms are tiny. They look like crap too. Why does honors housing (South Quad) look so horrible?

because its on a computer on ur screen...have u seen the SQ dorms in person? and if not, you probably will during orientation...i think...

will I be impressed if I see it in person? I personally thought that SQ looked the like one of the worst buildings on central campus. The dining areas and lounge weren't all that great either.

did someone take your pacifier away from you?

Dude just get over it man...yea generally dorms at UM aren't the best, but SQ is considered the prime location that A LOT of students want to live. So consider yourself lucky.
