Hello,

Lately, I've been seeing a lot of posts about how a lack of 4s or 5s will lead to one "certainly" getting denied from one's "dream school."

This couldn't be further from true. A 3 or a 2 or even a 1 won't preclude you from entry into a top school. I've gotten 2s on AP tests and I will be attending the University of Chicago next year. I know people who have gotten 1s on tests and are attending schools like Columbia, Dartmouth, and the University of Pennsylvania.

I know the entire college confidential mindset is to believe that without a 5 or without a 4.0 or without a 2400, you won't get in to where you want. This simply isn't true.

You all need to come down, enjoy life, and chillax. You will have time to worry about not getting into the college of your dreams. That time is not when you score a 3 on an AP test. That time is when you have the rejection letter in front of your face.

This has been a public service announcement by hevydevy. Enjoy your lives. You only get one.
