I'm in SoCal (Orange County) and have not been called yet. I tried to get someone in charge of interviewing at Brown but could not get a live person. Just answering machines.
Very frustrating.

You California snobs can stick to Pomona and Stanford and Berkeley and leave our east coast schools alone! ;)

Really, California is an awesome state...but you'd be absolutely crazy to say that any state comes remotely close to Massachusetts.

"You California snobs can stick to Pomona and Stanford and Berkeley and leave our east coast schools alone!"

I think that's what the interviewers are trying to tell us.

Massachusetts is a nice state.

That doesn't mean it's better than California though.

Nice, but nowhere near as awesome as California!

Left coast rules! LOL

I am in Orange county too. after my application was complete yes, it was finally complete few days ago, an interviewer contacted me through email. however, i have not been called. by the way, i live close to UCI

by another way, i think it's really fun that u guys are trying to compare the state u live with other states. DON'T WE ALL LIVE IN THE UNITED STATES??

I agree. We're all biased in our own way because we grew up in these states. Thus, yay for all states. Way to go, lithiumbromide!

All states are not created equal (e.g., Bush Country).

I'm actually all for CA seceeding from the Union and becoming a separate country...how awesome would that be?? Schwarz would be Prez...no, better yet- KING :D

Arnie, heading California, is going to wage war against the United States. This is how it will go...

First, he'll grab up Nevada, Oregon, etc. (how hard could it be?). (Now he has nukes and plenty of resources.) Then he will storm the White House and lock Bush and Cheney in a small cage. Then he will annex Canada and Mexico and rule with an iron fist. "North America" will become simply "California" lol

well, then we who are from Cal will be considered internation students, those tuition is gona skyrocket.

No, the whole world will be California lol

I live in Orange County, and I just received an e-mail this morning. I read that there was a representative in San Diego, but they said under special circumstances they conduct interviews through e-mail (but in no way are they valued "less" than if they were through the phone or in person). This may be where we fall. This is a good thing for me, as I've recently gotten sick and have all but completely lost my voice.

As for the east coast/west coast battle: Northern California has its moments (I love San Francisco), but I'm originally from Pittsburgh so I'm extremely biased towards the east coast. I love it there.
