Anyone from socal hear yet?

Laurak:

I was waitlisted. I'm bummed. But that's okay. I'll see them in 4 years for law school.

I'm still undecided between Cal, UCLA, and Pomona... and no, I'm not really going to decide on Cal just to spite stanford, haha.

I'm thinking Cal...it's good for poli sci and law.

eiffel: That's great! Seriously, you should be proud. Even if you decide not to fight the wait list, I know you'll do great at Cal and I wish you the best of luck.

darkling: Well, if you decide to go to UCLA, there will be at least one friendly 'fuzzie' face there ;)

Thanks laurak; and let me know how it goes for you!

I'm putting myself on the waitlist, I think. I'll see what happens.

do any of y'all know if all the acceptees have got their letters by now...is it correct to assume that if you didn't get anything today it's probably a rejection?

i dunno.. i got a waitlist letter today.. it looked like a rejection letter from the outside, i almost shredded it, haha jk.. don't assume the worst just because you haven't heard yet.. wait it out and see, you might just be surprised (in a good way) :)

waitlisted here. i was actually rather pleased to see this letter after rejections from HYP. oh well :)

rejected....i guess no wait list for me. oh well, my confidence was already shattered by my other college decisions.

OK, something must be wrong. I'm in Orange County and I still haven't received anything. All but two other kids besides myself heard back yesterday, but they were all rejections.

Someone please shed some insight! I'm going insane.

You can call for your admission on Thursday if you don't hear anything. Breathe. Breathe. Breathe. Good.

Thanks for the info about Thursday, eiffel. I'm working on the breathing part, but I'm just totally lost as to why almost everyone else at my school has gotten results and I'm still sitting here in the dark. I just want this grueling process to be over already; Stanford better be torturing me for a damn good reason.

I can't believe I still have not heard yet! I am in Riverside County and a girl who lives less than a mile away just goy her's (waitlist)...I'm thinking that this is a bad sign...I have UCB and Stanford tied on my list soooo, I'm not too stressed :)

I was waitlisted. Guess I got deferred again...

laurak and geminihop: I believe the admissions office is accepting calls about decisions starting on April 7. So if you guys don't get anything by then, you guys can call. Good luck to the both of you!

thanks sunkist :)

I was one of those admitted deferrees that was called last thursday. I got the packet in the mail today. Good luck to everyone who hasn't heard yet!

dude im so sick of waiting i think im gonna poke my eyes out.......... I still havent gotten a decision yet

I haven't heard yet either (and the one other girl at my school who applied)...arrrrrgh...my mom called the Admissions Office today (I know we weren't supposed to yet, but she called after getting the mail before I got home from the school)...they were actually quite rude about it and said that only a student could call and that they cannot tell anyone anything until tomorrow...lol...I wonder how many people have tried to call like my mother...I guess tomorrow will be the day regardless...

Holy crap. Nothing over here, either. I'm really sick of this waiting. If it doesn't come tomorrow afternoon, I'm definitely giving myself a heart attack and calling the admissions office. I refuse to draw any conclusions, but I just don't understand how it seems like I'm the only one from my school who hasn't heard yet (I don't know about the other two kids who were still waiting as of yesterday). The prolonged wait is just going to make a rejection that much more devastating. I'm almost afraid to call because I know the office will probably be total chaos, and getting bad news over the phone would suck.

It's times like these I wish I knew more about the U.S. Postal Service, because I sure as hell don't know whether to take it as a good sign or a bad sign. But we'll know tomorrow, and let's hope that we all come back with good news! Otherwise I'm going to be totally wrecked for the FRQ portion of my mock AP Government exam.

Good luck!
