<p>Hey all, just sending out a friendly greeting and curious to see who some of my future class mates are. I'm actually a little dissappointed with the rumors about UCSD's social scene, but I'm beyond excited to leave high school. Well, who isnt these days?? Anyone know what UCSD's social atmosphere is really like? By the way, I'm in John Muir college and plan on being a Human biology major.</p>

<p>Tonight I went to a special reception for admitted freshmen in the San Diego area. The speakers ( several were current students) were fantastic and were really enthusiastic about the academic, social, and cultural activites available. I'm going to avoid being overly optimistic, but their charisma was really encouraging. They really do try to make you feel like family. </p>

<p>I am!! I'm looking forward to checking out the RIMAC and Geisel library. Price center is pretty nice too. Our high school had our last two winter formals in their ball rooms.</p>
