Anyone get a letter yet?

Hey anyone get any acceptances yet ??? I’m in new york, and I’m hoping they come soon !! anyone have an idea of when they’ll be coming in

They're mailed tomorrow

soo when can do you think i'd receive it in new york ? thursday-friday ?

they are not emailing them?

the president.. thats what i'm guessing. (i'm in ny too)

Has anyone gotten anything yet?

Nopeee. It's frustrating.

(Okay, this is freaky because I was in the "alternate" forum all afternoon. Those of you who know what I'm talking about will understand why I'm surprised that people have been posting here all day.)

ANYWAY, I live in PA, about 2 hours from Bucknell, and my D. did not receive anything today.

...alternate forum?

Yeah. CC did an upgrade this afternoon that sent a bunch of us into limbo. All posts after 1/27/06 were gone. Many of us had to create new accounts since the new site wouldn't recognize us. (I even had to change my name - and that was a GOOD thing.)

The new format had some cool stuff such as point-and-go icons, an easy formatting menu, and little lights next to people's names to see whether they were online or not. It wasn't easy to navigate, however, especially after getting used to this format.

Several of us posted on the "What happened?" threads, but I thought it was weird that there were only 20 or so of us posting. Some people created new decision threads for colleges since all the messages were gone. Occasionally, someone would wander through saying that he/she kept going back and forth from one forum to another. And then . . . poof! I was back here. Kinda like a nightmare. :-) I still wonder how many people are still trapped in the alternate forum - and whether it will return.

LOL .... a Matrix CC ...................I wondered what you meant by alternate forum. Glad you made it back :)

I always miss all the fun. Is yours doing an automatic quote on your posts?

Yep. Mine is now doing an automatic quote.

The interface was soooo cool in the alternate universe. Most people who ended up there hated it because it was so different. Thread navigation was the biggest problem, although I started to get the hang of it before it released me back into the real CC world.

I suspect we'll be seeing some version of this in a couple of months.

...another day. Anyone get a letter from Bucknell yet?

does anyone know whether they are sending international acceptance letters through express service or not?

My daughter got her acceptance packet today. We live in PA, about 2 hours from Lewisburg.

To head off the inevitable questions:

It came in a 9 x 12 (or thereabout) envelope

It was very thin as it contained very little information other than her acceptance letter.

Financial aid info does not get mailed with acceptances

Congratulations...no news here yet.

Congratulations to your daughter! What were her stats? And did she apply to the Liberal arts college or the engineering college?

She applied to liberal arts. I'm not going to post stats because I think they are an artificial means of judging whether someone will or won't get into college.

I will tell you what colleges she got into because that might be a better gauge: Smith, Lehigh, Bryn Mawr, Mount Holyoke, Dickinson, and, of course, Bucknell. Waitlisted at Haverford and Skidmore. Bucknell was not a reach school.
