I too was accepted to Lehigh. Do you think that Bucknell's admissions difficulty is about the same as Lehigh's?

My guess is that they are comparable. The difference is probably in the admissions process. While both colleges look at the whole package (ECs as well as grades and SATs), Bucknell is also department-specific. That is, your application is reviewed not only by admissions officers but also by the department of your intended major.

Have you seen both campuses?

double post, sry

No, I haven't seen either. But I've shown interest to Bucknell (which I didn't to Lehigh) through e-mails and letters and the such. I do plan on visiting before I make my final decision, but as of now Bucknell is far ahead of Lehigh on my list. Mostly because from what I've heard and read, Bucknell has a better engineering department.

They are very different campuses, so you should visit both if you've narrowed it down to two. What kind of engineering are you interested in?

(P.S. I'm going to PM you with info you might find helpful.)

Not sure about that - Lehigh is best known for its ENG. But Bucknell has a much nicer campus, IMO.

Really? I've seen alot more sources saying Bucknell has a great engineering school compared to the number of Lehigh reccomendations I've seen.

Really? I think Lehigh has the prettier campus. Bucknell does have a nice campus, but it's flatter and more open. Fewer trees but more grassy expanses. I guess it all depends on what you like.

You really do have to visit the campuses and meet the students. We visited a couple of schools that my daughter wasn't keen on until we started walking around.

I got a letter today. Unfortunately I was waitlisted. THis happen to anyone else? Apparently applications are up from last year, to about 9000, and class 2010 is supposed to be 912 students.

i got in today

Rmac stats (even if it is a false sense of judgement for whether one is to be accepted or not, i feel it does give some useful background)
