Hey, I’m a non-TAG transfer applicant and I’ll have 2 missing prerequisites for the Spring before I will be (potentially) enrolling at Davis for Fall 2013. Has anyone here been accepted with 1 or 2 missing prerequisites? I’ll be missing 1 Physics class and 1 Math class for my major (Electrical Engineering). So yeah, has anyone been accepted with a few missing prerequisites before? Thanks!

My roommates and I (they’re non-TAG applicants, I was a TAG applicant) came to UCD without finishing our prerequisites, but we’re not engineering majors (the engineering major in general is more strict about pre-reqs).

http://engineering.ucdavis.edu/undergraduate/transfers/index.html this says you still have a chance of getting accepted, but you have lower priority than those who have all prereqs completed.

Would it be possible to get into Davis as a Physics or Applied Math major (both of these majors are unimpacted and they have almost the same prereqs as Electrical Engineering), and then transfer to engineering during Winter quarter? I’ll be able to finish those missing prereqs during the Fall quarter that I enroll. I’m a one-year transfer student so I’ll technically still be a sophomore in terms of college years, but a junior in terms of credits. If I can’t completely transfer, can I atleast declare Engineering as my second major? Thanks!

@ oompaloompa: you can do that, yes (declaring your major as one thing on your application and then changing your major during winter quarter). Just make sure to maintain a minimum 2.0 GPA in all courses related to engineering.
